Eco-conscious Portland Designer Dresses Vanna White

When it comes to high fashion, there are few who have attracted more attention for their wardrobe than Wheel of Fortune co-host Vanna White. The game show is in its 29th season and the iconic beauty looks more stunning than ever, which can be attributed in part to good genes, a great smile and a magnificent wardrobe. Recently, Vanna hosted Wheel of Fortune in a jet black dress she picked up on a trip to Portland, Oregon and Jennifer Thomas added her name to the list of top designers who have dressed Vanna in their clothes. This was the second time Vanna has hosted Wheel of Fortune in jet clothes.

jet was born in 2008 when Thomas hit the streets with 10 hand-made samples of her own designs and sold $11,000 of merchandise to five independently owned retailers in a single day. Currently, jet's retail boutique is a landmark for the fashion forward crowd in Portland's ultra-hip, thriving Mississippi District. The company is committed to sustainable business practices, which is evident in their local, eco-conscious production facil women's coats ity just a few blocks away. The up and coming brand has attracted an impressive following of "jet girls", who adore the clothes for their progressive designs, super-soft fibers, and versatility. The line features flattering dresses, tops, tunics, skirts, pants and leggings that are made from natural and eco-friendly fibers, can be dressed up or down and look great on any woman with someplace to go.

"I've always wanted to see my clothes on Vanna White," says Thomas. "I'm fascinated by her wardrobe and it's an honor to see her in jet clothes. I frequently turn on Wheel of Fortune just to see what she's wearing." Prior to jet, Thomas studied interior design until it became clear that she was more interested in designing the space on people than around them. She spent time selling other designers' clothes, traveling and raising her daughter before she started to design her own line.

Although jet has humble beginnings, Thomas now joins the ranks of Halston, Versace, Christian LaCroix, Georgio Armani and Escada, who have all dressed Vanna White for the popular game show. Jet designs are timely and relevant to our moving lives. These thoughtfully designed garments are a perfect fit for women, age 20 – 70, with a refined sense of style who seek modern, multi-functional, beautiful clothes.

In 60 Seconds or Less, Tradesy Takes the Hassle Out of Clothing Resale and Turns Every Woman’s Closet into Currency

Today marks the launch of Tradesy (http://www.tradesy.com), a new website and mobile app that unlocks the hidden value in every woman's closet, giving users a safe and easy way to sell their underutilized clothing and accessories to a community of fashionable shoppers -- no technical or sales knowledge required.

The average woman has worn just 20% of her wardrobe in the last year, yet continues to spend upwards of $6,000 year on new clothing and accessories, leaving many with a closet full of "nothing to wear". Tradesy solves this common problem with a peer-to-peer marketplace that brings the ease of retail e-commerce and gold-standard customer service to the resale market for the very first time.

For sellers, Tradesy addresses pain points that have previously kept women from engaging in online fashion resale. Listing an item is free and takes 60 seconds or less, via web or mobile. The site also helps maximize the value of items for sale with a proprietary pricing recommendation engine that reflects what buyers are likely to pay.

Once an item is purchased, Tradesy safely and seamlessly manages the transaction and the shipping process, and accepts returns so that sellers don't have to. And while other online marketplaces charge high fees that quickly add up, and local consignment shops pay pennies on the dollar, Tradesy empowers its users to earn top dollar for every sale.

Buyers enjoy both great discounts and guaranteed trust and security. An open feedback system lets buyers rate and verify sellers, and buyer's remorse is eliminated with hassle-free returns on purchases from any seller. As an added benefit, buyers can re-list any item purchased on Tradesy with one click once they're ready to part with it, making it easy to trade up for a new treasure anytime.

The site isn't limited to high-end designer clothing or curated vintage finds (though there's plenty of both). Instead, Tradesy gives women access to a variety of in-demand brands and styles at incomparable discounts.

Tradesy's founder, Tracy DiNunzio, has a track record of building successful online marketplaces for women. Her other website, Recycled Bride (http://www.RecycledBride.com), is the world's largest wedding marketplace and became profitable in less than a year. Now Tracy and her team have identified a $165 billion dollar opportunity in fashion resale, and are going after it armed with the learnings and data gathered via Recycled Bride.

Tradesy is also announcing they've raised $1.5 million in Series A funding from Rincon Venture Partners, 500 Startups – founded by Dave McClure, Dany Levy- founder of DailyCandy, Daher Capital, Bee Partners, Double M Capital and Launchpad LA.

"Our most important investment criterion is the quality of a founding team," says Jim Andelman of Rincon Venture Partners. "Tracy and her team are passionate about this category and have intimate knowledge of what works and what doesn't for a resale marketplace. They're taking their accumulated expertise -- and proven ability to execute -- from Recycled Bride, and applying it to this much larger adjacent market. Our second most important criterion is customer value proposition, and we think Tradesy will provide the best customer experience and utility in the category."

"My dream is to show women how to turn their closets into currency," said Tracy DiNunzio. "We view our belongings as things that we 'own' and are, in a sense, stuck with. But what if we could all see our wardrobes as interchangeable, and our clothing as assets that hold value? Then more women would have access to the fashion that makes them look and feel great, without the stress of overspending."

Tradesy's unique features include:

  •     Pricing Recommendation Engine: A unique algorithm provides users with pricing recommendations based on what's selling on Tradesy, current trending styles and brand insights to maximize sales potential.
  •     Free and Easy Shipping: Shipping, packaging, and insurance are included in the price of every item on Tradesy.com. When an item sells, Tradesy sends a prepaid shipping kit to the seller's doorstep, with the buyer's address already in place.
  •     Hassle-Free Returns: Tradesy is one of the only online peer-to-peer marketplaces that accept returns, alleviating the uncertainty of buying online from individual sellers.
  •     The Tradesy Trust Promise: Sellers are paid only once they've shipped their items, and their shipping tracking number is activated. Any seller who has misrepresented an item on Tradesy is banned, and the cost of the item is refunded in full to the buyer.
  •     Mobile App: For on-the-go selling, Tradesy's mobile app lets sellers post items using a simple, 60-second mobile listing process.
  •     Beautiful Images: Tradesy improves the quality of item images uploaded by sellers, which in turn improves sales, by cleaning the background from each photo and enhancing image quality.
  •     Follow trends and alerts: Tradesy created a tool where you can "follow" other women of a similar size and taste. Find the personality behind each unique piece, and be the first to know about it. Users can sign up to be alerted when interested item is listed that they were looking for or marked down in price.
  •     Video: In addition to posting images, sellers may also add video to their list women's jackets online ings. Videos allow sellers to show off product attributes in detail.

Your Dog's Health: Vitamin Supplements

The market is exploding with products claiming to improve the health and wellness of individuals using vitamins and nutritional supplements. People are now seeking the same products to complement the health of their pets. The benefits of appropriate nutritional supplements are overwhelming and can add several healthy years to your life, as well as your dogs.

Dogs Age Faster Than People Longevity is attributed 30 percent to genetics and 70 percent to lifestyle. Up to 90 percent of diseases in dogs are due to the degenerative processes associated with aging.

Does Your Dog Act His Age?

Because dogs age seven times faster than people, major health changes occur in a short amount of time. Dogs are considered puppies for about one year, adults from age two to six, and seniors at age seven. Giant breeds, like Great Danes, age even more quickly and are considered seniors at age five. Signs of aging in dogs occur slowly, but generally begin at maturity, somewhere between age one and two.

Dr. Denham Harman's Free Radical Theory of Aging, applies to people and pets, including dogs. This universally accepted theory states that aging is a process in which the body's systems deteriorate faster than the body can repair them.

The changes occur due to oxidative damage caused by harmful compounds called free radicals. Free radicals are toxic, electrically unstable molecules. As we age, they are produced more quickly.

Free radicals damage your dog's body similar to the way oxygen causes iron to rust. They are detrimental to your dog's genetic material, his DNA and RNA, his cell membranes and enzyme systems.

Free radicals are formed each time we take a breath. Exposure to the sun's ultraviolet rays, as well as to environmental toxins, pollution, heavy metals and stress contribute to free radical formation. Your dog's diet and drugs, such as antibiotics, are also factors.

Free radicals weaken your dog's natural defenses and have been associated with the development of up to 90 percent of the age-related degenerative conditions we associate with aging:

* Cancer
* Heart disease
* Arthritis
* Diabetes
* Cataracts
* Premature aging

Our life span, as well as the length of your dog's life, is ultimately determined by how quickly free radicals cause harmful oxidative changes to occur. Therefore what you feed your dog, as well as the supplements you choose for your dog are both very important.

Help Your Dog Enjoy a Longer, Healthier Life

Your Dog's Diet

You are what you eat, and that's just as important for people as it is for dogs. What you feed your dog directly affects his health and wellness. The longer and more consistently you give your dog an optimally balanced diet, the greater his chances are of living a longer, healthier life.

Dogs, like people are omnivores and can naturally exist on a diet of meat, fruit and vegetables. Consult with your vet to determine the best diet for your dog. Commercial varieties worth looking into include organic, natural diets such as Prairie made by Natures Variety.

Homemade, natural diets take more time and effort but in many cases are well worth the extra effort. Vegetarian and raw food diets are another option that, with careful supervision, may provide complete and balanced nutrition for your dog.

According to the Guinness Book of Records, a Border Collie in England named Taffy, lived to the spry age of 27 eating an all-natural, organic diet.

Healthy Dog Snacks

Fruits and vegetables are healthy, low calorie snacks many pets enjoy. Those rich in antioxidants are especially beneficial for your dog:

* Oranges
* Tomatoes
* Sweet Potatoes
* Carrots
* Cantaloupe
* Asparagus Tips

Oranges are rich in Vitamin C, tomatoes are filled with Lycopenes and sweet potatoes are a source of Vitamin E and Beta Carotene. Carrots and cantaloupes also provide Beta Carotene for your dog.

Antioxidant Supplements for Your Dog: Sooner Not Later

Recent research documents that antioxidants provide very bright prospects for increasing the quality and length of your dog's life. In addition, scientists have found that sooner is better than later as far as your dog's potential health benefits. Antioxidant supplementation started as a puppy, before free radical damage has occurred, can increase the healthy lifespan of your dog by up to 20 percent.

Antioxidant supplements, including Vitamins A, C, and E, the minerals Selenium and Zinc, and the nutrients Alpha Lipoic Acid and Coenzyme Q10, are the body's natural defense against free radical damage. They can help to protect your dog by neutralizing free radicals and decreasing the resultant levels of oxidative damage.

Other noteworthy antioxidant supplements for your dog include:

Bioflavinoids, which help to decrease allergic reactions, asthmatic attacks and have anti-cancer benefits for your dog.

Green Tea, whose antioxidants may decrease the risk of heart disease and cancer and help protect the blood vessels nourishing your dog's heart and brain.

Lutein, a plant pigment from marigolds, helps to protect your dog's eyes and may reduce the risk of cataracts.

Melatonin, a potent antioxidant that acts to normalize sleep patterns. It also protects your dog's brain and has been used successfully with cancer therapy.

The effects of antioxidants are beneficial and act synergistically for people and dog's undergoing cancer therapy. In well controlled studies, people and pets treated with antioxidants (with or without chemotherapy and radiation) have tolerated treatments better and experienced less weight loss. More importantly, they enjoyed a better overall quality of life and lived longer than individuals receiving no supplements.

Nutritional Supplements for Your Dog's Bones, Joints & Cartilage

Glucosamine is an amino sugar naturally produced in your dog's body from glucose, which is your dog's blood sugar, and the Amino Acid, Glutamine. It helps the cartilage between the joints retain water so the cartilage can act like a cushion to absorb shock and withstand compression. Glucosamine is vital to protecting the health and integrity of your dog's bones, joints and cartilage. It helps to:

* Decrease joint inflammation and pain
* Promote cartilage repair
* Aid healing of damaged joints
* Increase mobility in dogs with arthritis and hip dysplasia

Glucosamine is also a normal component of the urinary bladder in dog's and cat's and may help to relieve urinary disorders.

MSM (methyl-sulfonyl-methane) is a natural source of sulfur that works along with Glucosamine to help protect the health and integrity of your dog's bones, joints and cartilage.

Essential Fatty Acid Supplements for Your Dog

Essential Fatty Acids are vital to life and support all bodily functions in your dog. They help to keep cell membranes soft and pliable, so your pet's cells can absorb dietary nutrients. They enhance your dog's skin and hair coat and are needed for the normal development of the nervous system and brain.

Fatty Acids are vital to brain health and help to preserve mental clarity. They decrease the risk of Alzheimer's disease and dementia in dogs, cats and people. Fatty Acids may reduce the risk of heart disease, stroke and high blood pressure, as well as provide therapeutic effects in your dog for:

* Arthritis
* Lupus
* Inflammatory bowel disease
* Cancer therapy
* Kidney disorders

Flea allergies, food intolerances and bacterial skin infections can often be relieved by providing your dog with fatty acid supplements.

The proper balance of Fatty Acids helps to reduce wear and tear on your dog's body by decreasing stress triggered increases in cholesterol and the stress hormone Cortisol. Research indicates that the ratio of 5:1 of Omega 6 to Omega 3 Fatty Acids seems to provide the greatest clinical benefits, surpassing that of any individual Fatty Acid alone.

Amino Acid Supplements for Your Dog

Glutamine is the most abundant Amino Acid in the body. It is the major energy source for the cells that line the digestive system and strengthens your dog's natural defense system known as the immune system.

Glutamine promotes healing of the digestive system thereby reducing bowel disorders. It spares protein and reduces muscle loss during periods of injury, stress and high endurance activities. Therefore it is especially beneficial for pets recovering from trauma and for working and show dogs.

Glutamine also has many anti-aging effects. It helps to preserve memory and to prevent the harmful effects of Cortisol, the hormone that is responsible for accelerating the aging process in people and in your dog.

Digestive Enzyme Supplements for Your Dog

Digestive Enzymes are produced by the salivary glands, stomach, pancreas and liver and are released into the digestive tract. Enzymes help your dog's body to breakdown proteins, fats and carbohydrates in his food so they can be absorbed and utilized.

Your dog's production of enzymes naturally decreases with increasing age. Illnesses, stress, food intolerances, allergies and drugs like antibiotics also have a negative affect on enzyme production and function. This can result in a variety of digestive disturbances ranging from flatulence and gas to diarrhea, life threatening dehydration and malnutrition.

Digestive Enzymes are vital to maintain your dog's overall health. They improve the efficiency of digestion so your pet's body can utilize the nutrients essential for energy production and ultimately for life itself.

They help the body to recover from disease and promote restoration of good health in your dog. Enzymes are useful to reduce pain and swelling after exercise or trauma and help speed up recovery rates. Enzymes support your dog's immune system thereby enhancing his ability to ward off disease and infection. They have been also been used effectively in cancer therapy for people and pets.

Papain is an enzyme that has aspirin-like effects to decrease swollen, painful inflamed tissues in your dog. Bromelain is an enzyme found in pineapple stems that inhibits the spread of lung cancer in mice.

Digestive Enzyme supplements may be beneficial in dogs with digestive problems, immune disorders including rheumatoid arthritis and arthritis, cancer and a variety of bowel disorders. They are especially useful in older dogs with reduced digestive ability.

Longer, Thicker Horse Tails!

As horse owners, we all know the ideal tail. A thick, flowing mass of hair, just touching the ground- it's the epitome of beauty. But looking at a lovely long tail, and comparing that to the short, thin and frayed tail on your own horse can make the dream of a beautiful tail seem impossible. While genetics and nature play a part in long, healthy tails, there are several steps you can take to encourage your horses tail to grow and look beautiful.

Not all horses are created equal- and neither are all tails. If the genetics of your horse have given him a thin, wispy tail, then you may never reach the ideal in your mind. But every tail can be improved, and whether your aim is the show ring, or just for your own pleasure, careful attention to the tail can help it to be the best it can be.

Tail rubbing is a common occurrence in horses, but it is also extremely destructive to tails. Many a beautiful tail has been completely destroyed by only a few days of vigorous rubbing- and it may take years for the tail to grow back. Tail rubbing first destroys the hairs at the top of the tail, leading to matts in the tail, broken hair strands and even bald spots.

The most common cause of tail rubbing is a parasite infection, usually pinworms. These microscopic parasites lay eggs at the horses tail area around the anus. These eggs cause discomfort and itching, and lead the horse to try and relive the sensation by rubbing on anything that might be available- the walls of a stall, fence posts, feed buckets, etc. Deworming will kill the pinworms, and the rubbing should stop.

If parasites have been ruled out as a cause of rubbing, other causes should be examined. A dirty udder or sheath may be itchy for the horse, causing them to seek out a way to reach the itch. Washing the udder or sheath regularly can help to relieve the itch, and prevent future episodes of rubbing. The skin of the dock of the tail can be dry, causing dandruff and irritation. Washing the tail in a dandruff shampoo, or using moisturizing conditioners, can help relieve the itching. The tail should also be carefully inspected for any other signs of cuts, sores or skin irritations- if found, these should be treated as directed by your veterinarian.

Once tail rubbing has been eliminated as an issue, how do you get that tail to grow? First and foremost, STOP BRUSHING THAT TAIL! Ever wonder how horses in the wild often have great thick, long tails? It's because they aren't brushed. Constant brushing loosens the hair, and each brush stroke may pluck out a few hairs. Reduce your brushing sessions to once a week, at most. When you do brush, use a paddle type brush instead of a comb, as they are more aggressive, and pull out more hairs. Use of a detangler will also help to minimize matts and snarls, and prevent them from forming.

At least once a month, thoroughly wash and condition your horses tail. Although more expensive, horse-specific shampoos and conditioners should be used, as human products tend to dry out the tail too much, leading to hair breakage. Leave in conditioners such as Mane and Tail can help to provide detangling action, as well as providing long-term protection to the hair.

After washing and conditioning, allow the tail to dry completely before brushing it through. Wet hair is more fragile, and is more likely to break while being brushed. When brushing, start at the bottom of the tail and work up, working on small sections at a time until the entire tail is detangled and smooth.

Just as in human hair, horses get split ends at the bottom of their tail, and split ends can cause hair breakage and damage. Cutting the very ends of the tail off on a regular basis will remove the split ends, and strengthen the rest of the tail. Not much has to be taken off- often just a ?" or less will remove most of the split ends, and leave the tail with a neater, more kept look.

Finally, if a long, thick tail is your goal, th women's jackets online e tail bag may become your best friend. Usually made of lycra or cotton, tail bags cover the tail and tie just below the bone of the tail, protecting it from pulling, breakage, sun damage and tangles. Although not the most popular of accessories in some riding circles, any snarky comments you may receive as a result of the tail bag will instantly be silenced when your friends see the improved quality of your horses tail.

To put in a tail bag, braid the washed and conditioned dry tail, and secure the braid with an elastic band. Pull the tail bag over the tail, and take the loop or ties, and insert them through one of the plaits below the tailbone. NEVER tie a tail bag around or near the tailbone- it can cause a loss of circulation, and a variety of severe problems.

Using a tail bag can significantly improve the quality of your horses tail, as well as help it to grow more quickly. Use of hair-growth stimulators, such as Eqyss Mega Tek, can be especially helpful in bagged tails, as will remain in place and undisturbed until washed out.

If your horse has an especially thin or slow growing tail, a vitamin supplement may be in order to help the tail receive the nutrients it needs for optimal growth. Skin and Coat conditioners, as well as hoof supplements (hair is made from the same basic material as hooves) can be extremely helpful in getting a stubborn tail to grow.

It takes approximately seven years for a hair at the top of your horses tail to grow down to the level of their fetlocks. Your horses tail won't grow overnight, and you might not notice a difference in quality or thickness for some time. But with careful attention, and just a bit of patience, you can help your horses tail achieve its fullest potential.

Improve Your Pets Health With Multi-Vitamins

Dogs and cats need vitamins and minerals to maintain their best possible health. Vitamins and minerals help to keep pets' coats shiny and healthy. They also keep their bones strong and help pets to have properly functioning immune systems. In addition, vitamins and minerals help dogs and cats to have optimal eyesight, good digestion, a strong heart, and proper cellular function.

Consequences of Vitamin Deficiency in Dogs and Cats

If a dog or cat became deficient in a vitamin, it could have serious consequences for the pet's health. For instance, if a dog is deficient in Vitamin B1, also known as thiamin, symptoms of the deficiency might include loss of appetite, general weakness, and loss of reflexes. Cats deficient in Vitamin A can have eye diseases such as conjunctivitis, cataracts, retinal degeneration and additional eye problems, as well as poor reproductive health.

Consequences of vitamin deficiencies are many. A lack of any one vitamin can cause damage. Lack of niacin in a dog can lead to inflamed gums and hemorrhagic diarrhea. In cats, it can lead to elevated body temperature and a red, inflamed tongue, among other symptoms. Lack of Vitamin B6, also known as pyridoxine, in dogs can lead to poor growth, skin lesions, and anemia. In cats, it can also lead to stunted growth, convulsive seizures, and kidney lesions.

Vitamins Important to Dogs and Cats

Cats and dogs each need certain amounts of vitamins to function properly. Some of the most important vitamins for a dog's health are the B Vitamins, including B12, biotin, folic acid, niacin, pantothenic acid, pyridoxine, riboflavin, and thiamin. Other important vitamins include Vitamins A, D, E and K. The B Vitamins play important roles in nervous and digestive system function in dogs and in the prevention of anemia. They also play a role in the proper formation of red and white blood cells.

Vitamin A is important for proper bone and tooth formation as well as optimal vision. Vitamin D helps dogs' immune systems function correctly. Vitamin E is necessary for appropriate cell function, good digestion, and metabolism of fat. Vitamin K plays an important role in the ability of a dog's blood to clot properly.

Cats' needs for vitamins are similar to dogs' needs for the most part. Cats also need Vitamins A, D, E, K and the B Vitamins. Cats, however, cannot convert beta-carotene to Vitamin A and need to have this supplement in a readily assimilated form.

The Role of Minerals in Dog and Cat Health

Just as vitamins play a large part in a dog or cat's optimal health, so do minerals. Minerals are natural substances that help dogs' and cats' bodies to properly function in a number of ways. Some of the minerals important to the health of dogs and cats include: calcium, phosphorous, magnesium, sodium, potassium, and iron, along with many others.

Some of ways in which these substances benefit dogs and cats are in the formation of bones and teeth, maintaining the integrity of DNA and RNA, acid-base balance, and the formation of hemoglobin. Other ways include connective tissue formation, cell replication, assimilation of proteins and carbohydrates, and regulation of metabolism. Obviously these are very important substances for dogs and cats to have adequate supplies of.

Consequences of Minera women's jackets l Deficiency in Dogs and Cats

Mineral deficiencies in dogs and cats can have disastrous results for their health. A deficiency in calcium can lead to skeletal malformations, malformation of teeth, bone pain, and fractures. Deficiencies in magnesium can lead to muscle twitching and convulsions, as well as high blood pressure and nervousness.

If a dog or cat lacks the proper amount of sodium, it might experience an unwillingness to eat, extreme thirst, and excessive urination. Potassium deficiency can lead to neurological disorders in dogs and cats as well as muscle weakness. Iron deficiency can lead to weakness and poor growth.

Helping Dogs and Cats Obtain Proper Amounts of Vitamins and Minerals

Because of the fact that dogs and cats need adequate amounts of various vitamins and minerals to maintain their overall health, many quality supplements exist. Sometimes, feeding a dog or cat one type of food does not provide it with optimal nutrition. It may need more of a particular vitamin or mineral than it is being provided with through diet alone. Keep in mind that signs of deficiency include lethargy, dull coat and skin problems.

It is important to consult a dog's or cat's veterinarian to see if it is getting the nutrition it needs. It is possible that the dog or cat would benefit from vitamin and mineral supplementation to keep it in optimal health. A good veterinarian can recommend the supplements that would be beneficial to a particular dog or cat, so that it stays healthy and disease free as much as possible.

Vintage Auto Parts: Customizing And Painting Your Wheel Rims

Why scour vintage auto salvage yards for classic car rims with which to enhance your classic motor vehicle. Why not paint your own tire rims? This used to be the guise of only the professionals. Now as an amateur you can accomplish a professionally appearing job.

First things first you will need paint with which to paint your own rims. Duplicator is the first choice. Duplicator will offer you a full range of painting colors to match your style whether it comes in the ranges of classic silver, white or gunmetal.

Choose your color first. Of course you may have already purchased paint. Alternatively you may be lucky enough to find your color factory prepared – in which case the work is done already for you. As well the ever important cost factor may be less.

Many vintage vehicles will empty the pockets of a succession of owners before being completed as a final project. It is often quoted that many vintage vehicles will go through a succession of an average of 3 avid classic auto enthusiasts before completion.

The initial step in the process is to sand down your rims giving the surface a rough texture. This roughing of the metal surface of the tire rims is done in order that the paint has something solid and substantial to adhere and stick to firmly. It's your choice about how much metal you wish to remove and abrade which of course depends on the condition of the rims, in terms of the quality of the original metal, its thickness and depth, and as well of course the current condition and quality of the metal of your auto rims. As a working material you can choose 300 grit sandpaper. Of course it all comes down to personal preference and expertise which in many cases goes back to our very training and mentors in our individual craft. Generally as long as the metal rims have had no major damage along their lifetimes and you sand evenly, the surface should be more than adequate for the paint to adhere to properly.

Now that you have passed the two steps of purchasing your paint product as well as sanding and preparing your rims you are now off to the races – or on the way for preparation for your next classic auto meet. It is most essential that the surfaces are clear of any residual sanding dust. This step is often glossed over. Its good enough is the standard line. Down the road you may find that paint will "flake" off your carefully laid project of wheel customization. Be more than perfectly sure that the surface is totally clean of sanding dust. Clean that wheel one more time just to be sure.

My rims are masked with newspaper and standard auto body shop masking tape. Obviously you do not want to turn your tires into the very colors that you are painting your rims with. You would not want white or classic silver colors sprayed onto your tires. It is the experience of many professional Autobody paint shops that spray from other auto painting jobs can accidentally make its way over amazing distances. In addition ensure that the lip has been masked off well. Carefully apply your masking tape on the "lip" areas to protect this from being painted or overpainted as well. Of course it never hurts to initially pump a little air into the mask to clear out any older residual paint traces as well, from previous jobs.

After the time period spent to ensure that the rims are dry, and of course you have masked off those areas that you do not want overpainted or sprayed you are ready for the major step. Put some newspapers on the ground, pavement or concrete in your shop. Place those rims, one at a time, on top of the newspaper. The newspaper covering wil fashion jackets online l ensure that those surfaces will remain free of markings and paint damage/

You can now apply the first of perhaps several coats of paint. It all depends on your preferred final appearance and levels of quality desired. You can let the paint dry well and apply the next coat of paint as desired.

Watch out for the stares and jealous looks at your next Car Show & Swap Meet

Tips for Staging Your Home For Sale

Staging a home can end up being a valuable tool in selling the house. Not only can it assist in selling a house, but it can also help the seller get top dollar.

The amount of staging needed varies wildly from a small scale de-cluttering of a home to hiring staging professionals to the tune of several thousand dollars, but the goal is the same- creating a pleasant m women's coats ood by making a house appear bigger, brighter and warmer while neutralizing the area so prospective buyers can visualize how their own furniture and belongings can be incorporated into the home.

In a good or bad housing market, some studies have shown that staged homes can add between 10 and 15 percent to the sale price of many homes. Sellers who don't take the time to properly stage may end up with their house on the market for longer periods of time, and agreeing to a lower selling price to a buyer who can see the potential the home has that other viewers did not.

Though professional home stagers may be needed if a home is completely empty, the majority of staging can be accomplished by the seller. A quick visit to some newly built model homes can help a seller get an idea of how interior designers and stagers prepare a home. There's a delicate balance between keeping the home sparse enough to appear as spacious as possible, and picking the right pieces to maintain a warm and livable space.

The first impression a potential home buyer will have of a house will be of the exterior, so nice curb appeal is important. A fresh coat of paint on the front door, a nicely trimmed lawn, and fresh flowers in a garden or on the front porch are easy and effective staging techniques. A brightly colored patio set in the backyard can help the home's exterior appearance when the buyer steps out the back door.

Kitchens and bathrooms are two of the most important rooms in buyers' eyes. Kitchen counters should be clear of all small appliances and other items that tend to gather on them. When counter tops are cleared of clutter, the amount of working surface increases. A splash of color, such as a bowl of fruit is acceptable, but a refrigerator, covered in personal pictures and comic strip cutouts, is not.

Bathrooms should look as open and airy as possible, and above all clean. A new white toilet or tub, or a new set of sink faucets could be a worthy investment during the staging process. Personal toiletries, like toothbrushes, should be removed from sight, while the addition of scented soaps, lotions and clean white towels could give the room more of a spa type feeling.

For bedrooms, remove as much unnecessary furniture as possible, and keep it in the garage or in storage if need be. For smaller rooms, hang curtains high on the wall, and do not cover the actual window with them. Doing so will increase the apparent height and width of the room. Neutralize the rooms by removing all personal pictures and keeping wall colors a nice warm, clean color.

By following a few simple and effective staging guidelines, a home seller can increase his or her chance to sell the home quickly, and the time and effort will pay off by netting the highest offer as well.

7 Best Strategies To Sell Your House Fast

With increasing interest rates, the housing market has turned buyer's market now. Higher interest rates mean that many buyers have pulled out of the market and decided to wait till interest rates come down. This also mean that investors or speculators have pulled out as well because house prices will not be rising fast enough to give them a decent return.

If you are planning to sell women's coats your house soon then you may face lesser choice of offers and greater competition from other sellers.

But if you adopt time tested strategies as listed below, you should attract much more interest in your house.

1. Start to see the house not as a home but a product to be marketed to general public. This may not be easy in the beginning; especially of you have lived in this house for many years and have fond memories. So this will take some time. But this is an important step to realise best potential out of your home selling process.

2. Find a surveyor but it does not have to be expensieve. Get your house surveyed. This survey does not have to be thorough but you must have the his report ready to be handed over to your estate agent and potential buyers. What this survey does is identify any potential problems early on so that you have to fix them. This avoids negotiation complications later on when buyer's surveyor uncovers these defects. Secondly, and most importantly, this report acts as an important marketing tool to demonstrate that you have taken good care of your house. Buyers feel more confident taking your house mire seriously. Estate agents market your house with more confidence.

3. You must prepare your house well. You will need to take an objective view of your house. Would you buy this house? You have lived here a many years and it has hallmarks of your personality. So you may not be completely impartial in your view. Invite your friends and siblings for their views. Ask your neighbours. Do not ignore your estate agent's opinion - they look at houses all day long.

4. Check out your competition. View similar houses in your area pretending to be a buyer. Make notes of their best features. This will also give you an opportunity to see what you will be up against. Remember, any enhancements to your house neither need to be excessive or expensive.

5. Gives your house a fresh and clean look. A thorough coat of neutral paint or luxurious but neutral wallpaper, deep cleaned carpets and upholstery, tidy garden and other basics like that can do the trick. Get r id of any emotional attachments you achieved in the first step will help you to prepare the house for others to appreciate. It is always best to go with neutral decor over any strong personal tastes.

6. If you have had any incomplete DIY projects, make sure to complete them before putting house on market. People moving home do not like to budget for major maintenance. So get rid of any untidy cables hanging from the ceilings or complete the unfinished garden shed.

7. If you have lots of family pictures and memorabilia displayed virtually everywhere in the house then consider storing away some of them for now. Buyers may find it difficult to visualise living themselves in this house if your family is 'staring' at them wherever they look.

If you take these steps then you should be able to make your house stand well over the competition.

Coach Handbags - Where To Find Them Full Price Or Discounted

I can't think of any women that I've ever known that haven't enjoyed shopping for new handbags. I've enjoyed countless hours doing nothing but purse shopping with many of my friends or family members. Each experience was different because each individual likes were different. Some wanted women's jackets online handbags with cell phone and make-up compartments, where others just need it to have a separate compartment for loose change and breath mints.

No matter what type of handbag each individual got, they all had one thing in common. They each wanted name brand and at the least expensive price as possible. They are still genuine items and are as nice as the store items, they sometimes just have small defects to them that are so microscopic that they are not noticeable to the naked eye. Like the stitching is not 'perfect'.

Inspired by the same material baseball gloves are made from, these handbags are versatile and stylish. Since it's conception, the Coach handbag has been produced into a variety of designs, colors, shapes, and styles that have won top pick of millions of women the world over.

Compassion and Health Care

I suddenly found myself in the care giver role caring for two elderly relatives. This was a world I would soon discover, I knew nothing about. My area of expertise has always been with children as I was a teacher for many years.

Being thrown into this new role, I sat down at my kitchen table with my head whirling with all the information before me and I took stock of what I did know, what my relatives would need, who would provide it and who would pay for it, and then, I set out to develop a plan. Little did I know, my plan would fall short of what I needed to do but that there would be people there to save me from it all.

Through my educational journey into the world of Health care in the United States, I continue to feel "rescued" many times. I am rescued from my state of confusion over all the services, information, and government information that I receive. My rescuees are none other than the very people who present this information to me. I am now on the other side of the teaching process. They patiently walk me through all t fashion jackets he areas necessary for me to understand what will be needed to provide the highest quality of care for the aged people that I hold so dear. They also help me to understand who will pay for it all and what all the options are. These people that I speak of are the many wonderful, caring individuals associated with the many facets of health care. They give new meaning to the word TEAM. They have an amazing way of working together and getting the best results.

As we would go through the process of finding the best care possible, I have encountered women that have a purpose in their lives. Their lives are about helping other people through some of the most difficult times we all face in our lives. These are dedicated individuals who will work seven days a week if it will make someone else's life a little more meaningful and a little easier. These are also the same women who will do the toughest jobs because they care and they want to help people with whatever they need. I feel very blessed to have all of these individuals in my life as they have made all of our lives better by their example, their presence, and their compassion.

This is where I first began to see Compassion at it's best. I then branched out and starting looking for it in other directions and discovered it was everywhere. I can see it through the charity works that people do everyday.

I thought about compassion and how it has affected my life when I saw a picture today of a woman in India who devotes her life to helping others. I needed to only look at a picture of her to see compassion written right across her face. I saw it as I watched the paramedics care for my Grandmother when she was ill. I saw it when I watched the aide gently help her, and I saw it in the visiting nurse who came and brought her husband along to "chat" with my Grandfather as the nurse cared for my Grandmother. I saw it in the social worker who helped us make the hardest decisions we have ever had to make, and I saw it in the care coordinator who managed to keep everything together.

I looked even further and discovered that it was in the most unusual places as well. I saw it in the grocery store when my Grandfather wanted to go shopping to buy the ingredients for soup so that his beloved wife of 66 years would eat something. I saw it in my friends when they could see that the strain a care giver experiences was manifesting itself in me.

I saw it in my business partners who stood by me and supported me and uplifted me as things got worse. With all of these beautiful examples of compassion in my life, I have made the choice to exercise compassion every day with everyone I encounter and I am thankful for the woman who have touched our lives so deeply.

Grow More Food in Your Organic Garden - Seven Fast Ways

If you want to get your garden seeds off to a good start and grow more vegetables faster, make sure they germinate quickly! Here are several new organic gardening tips. We can all explore them - in our kitchens.

It makes sense to pre-germinate our seeds before sowing them. Why? That way, we'll know that 100% of the seeds will grow. Gardeners need that confidence if they're using seed that's a few years old or precious seed they can't risk. It also saves a lot of wasted time in the garden planting seeds that will never come up.

And the faster we germinate our seed, all else being equal, the faster we'll get crops to eat.

A lady in Switzerland - which has a very short growing season - wanted to grow organic tomatoes very early. She had the i women's coats dea of soaking the tomato seeds for 24 hours in a strong infusion of valerian. Simply, she took some valerian blossoms, soaked them and strained off the juice.

She found that the seed drenched in valerian extract sprouted a full week before her other seeds. Of course, she couldn't tell if the soaking or the valerian was responsible. Any pre-soaked seed is likely to sprout faster - in damp conditions - than dry seed. That said, growth stimulators can have a very significant effect on seed germination.

Here are some easy tips we can try, to grow more food in our gardens - more quickly.

Quick and easy experiments in plant propagation

? You can start lettuce seed faster if you steep it for 24 hours at around 50?F in a weak solution of household bleach (10%). This weakens the seed coat. Would it also work with other slow germinators like parsley?

Kelp infusion is also proven fungicide. For example, it helps to deter damping off disease in seedlings. So it's a good idea to feed and spray seedlings with a dilute kelp solution until they turn into sturdy plants.

? Strangely enough, cool tea is said to help seeds germinate faster, perhaps because of the tannin content. In that case, an infusion of oak leaves might be worth experimenting with too.

Another idea is to soak garden seeds for two days in water in which wheat or oat berries have previously fermented. That ferment water is called Rejuvelac and is vastly rich in vitamins. Do vitamins provoke seed germination?

Pharmacies might provide solutions for faster seed germination

Some folk swear that shop-bought vitamin C or B complex, in solution, does boost seed growth. (But we couldn't call that organic gardening.)

Canadian researchers have found that carrot seed soaked for 24 hours in a solution of aspirin - at 100mg of powdered aspirin per 1 litre of water - greatly accelerated germination. They added a few drops of grain alcohol to help the aspirin dissolve. Doubtless, supermarket vodka or whisky could be substituted.

It would be interesting to test if willow bark, infused in water, would have the same effect. Willow contains aspirin. That might appeal to the organic gardener!

Try dilute solutions (1%) of essential oils like marjoram, lavender, mint or rosemary. They can be obtained in health food and aromatherapy stores.

These essential oils can be an investment in other ways. They are a boon to natural pest control and repel many flying insect pests. A clever tip is to steep kitchen paper in essential oils, strap the paper to sticks and post them about your vegetable beds.

So... should we put our soaked seeds in our pocket, when jogging?

Old-time gardeners used to keep big seeds like squash in their pockets, along with their coins. The abrasion weakened the seed coat.

What other gardening delights might we enjoy, even over winter? Simply take a trip around the shelves of pharmacy and health food stores. Who knows? You could chance upon a genuinely new idea that will make your seeds grow faster and more reliably - and bring you food from your home garden more quickly.

Men's Fashion Between Seasons

The fashion industry makes a very clear distinction between the seasons by rolling out new styles and collections for each one. In reality, though, the shift isn't as simple as a series of fashion shows or new spreads in a magazine. There'll always be that period in between seasons when the weather can be one or another, warm or cold, freezing or balmy. Believe it or not, there's a particular style for that time of the year too.

Layering Tricks
It's Mother Nature herself who'll be giving you the biggest challenge during that in-between season phase. Wearing clothes that are meant solely for one specific season is difficult because the weather is touch and go on most days.

Keep your thick, Sherpa-lined jackets and coats in the closet; chances are you won't be able to wear them for the rest of the season. Don't bring out your light cotton shirts and linen shorts just yet, though. For most men in the northern hemisphere, those pieces will only get comfortable around mid-March.

Lighter pieces layered over one another will be the style to master for getting through such a time of unsure clime. Not only will they keep you cozy on a bitterly cold day, but you could also reconfigure your outfit easily for the times when the sun suddenly comes out. With a layered look, you can stay fashionably comfortable, no matter what the weather conditions are for the day.

A light to medium weight cardigan is absolutely essential during this time, as it's one of those items that will look equally stylish over a distressed tee as with your new shirt and tie. In most cases, it can even stand in for a blazer. A sweater vest is a similarly versatile option. You should still get a lined blazer or suit jacket, though, both for more formal occasions as well as to layer over the knits.

Lastly, prepare a light or medium weight top layer, like a pea coat or car coat. A style from autumn would be closer to the ideal heft, since you have several other layers that will compensate in the cold anyway. You'll want one that's not too fitted because, in a worst case scenario, you'll be wearing it over one or two other layers. It's never stylish to have the layers underneath bulging out through your outerwear.

Fashion Forward
New style trends are spotted during the fashion shows and previews, many of which happen over six months before the season itself arrives. If you keep track of these developments, you should easily be able to apply the new trends even when the pieces or collections are yet to arrive in store. When it comes to trends, nothing says "fashion forward" like adopting a new style before everyone else jumps on the bandwagon.

It's a good idea to try out some of the upcoming trends during that in-between season not just because you'll look cool as an early adopter, but also because the demand is yet to drive the clothes prices up. For spring this year, for example, you can start by wearing bold color neckties, patterned pocket squares and small brim fedoras, all of which have been identified as up-and-coming fashion trends for men.

Of course, doing this involves quite a bit of effort since the pieces you need are also yet to make it to the store shelves. Some like the patterned pocket squares will be easy enough to find. Others that are more divergent from the classic style - the minimalist fedora and almost-neon neckties for next season - will be somewhat harder. You may want to also try browsing online retailers, whose selections are typically wider.

The in-between season, like puberty, can get awkward because it's a time of transition; you're rarely sure if you've stepped into women's coats the next phase already or if you're still riding the tail end of the previous one. The secret to weathering it successfully lies in playing around with versatile, season-independent pieces and early adoption of next season's trends.

Chihuahua Dog Breed History, Temperament, Grooming and Description

Unlike other breeds, the Chihuahua breed can vary in height, and are more measured by their weight. American and British standards state this breed should weigh no more than six pounds, but the British standards, recommends between two and four pounds. This breed can grow as tall as 15 inches, this being the exception rather than the rule. This breed has both long and short hair Chihuahuas. This is classed in the tiny toy dog size category. They have a well rounded head and a short pointed muzzle.

However, these have a soft spot on top of their skull, which has usually closed by adulthood. This breed has beautiful round eyes large in appearance and set well apart. With erect ears, that are large in look. Their tail curls over the back or to the side, this is long and is sickle shaped. The coat comes in both short coats; wavy or flat coat and long coat. All colours are acceptable in this breed. This includes splashed and solid. A few examples of colour are red, cream, blue, black, chocolate, and black and tan, and merle, though this is not recognised by all show standards. This dog can live up to 17 years but between 10 and 17 years is more likely.

History: The Chihuahua breed comes from South America and is native to Mexico; this is how it gets its name from the state of Chihuahua. This is the oldest breed of dog on the American continent. Here we see the smallest breed of dog in the world. This dog was thought to be sacred to the Pre- Columbian Indians. There is debate about the facts of these dogs history and could, in fact, go back to Malta in the Mediterranean, but this is seen through art work rather than a fact. There is also an idea that this dog came from China some 200 years ago. DNA suggests that it is of Old World origin, this form of analysis only checks on the mothers' side women's jackets so the fathers' side is not clear or known. We know as a fact this dog has a long history in Mexico. With links to the Toltec breed, which are a slightly bigger dog and whose history goes back to 2nd century B.C.

Temperament: The Chihuahua dog is very territorial and can be very protective. With a temperament that can be easily provoked. This dog, though small in size needs good and strong leadership from the human, this dog is a pack dog and needs you to be the pack leader. This is often forgotten due to their small size and that is why a cloud of misinformation follows this breed. While they are protective and territorial this does not have to mean badly managed. Often it is us humans that change the rules, and we then get the bad behaviour. If this dog was bigger we would treat them as a dog and so have fewer problems. The answer is, they are a dog and need to be treated like a dog. The AKC describes this breed as "A graceful, alert, swift-moving little dog with saucy expression, compact with Terrier-like qualities of temperament". These dogs are not recommended for children as the child may be inclined to treat this dog as not a dog, and so get problems. This dog is loyal, and does not get along with all other dogs but likes the company of other Chihuahuas. This breed loves attention, and are eager to please. Do not allow this breed to get small dog syndrome, as this allows negative problems for your dog.

This breed can be hard to potty train but with firm and consistent rules the dog gets there in the end. Small, this breed maybe but walks are still needed, not just for the exercise but also offering mental stimulation daily. By walk, it is meant as a walk not a carry. This doesn't have to be a vast distances but variety allows interest for your dog.

Health issues: The Chihuahua can get a long list of problems due to their protruding eyes, and it is best to check this. Rheumatism and slipped stifle, colds and gum problems can accrue. In puppyhood care needs to be taken as they can get fractures. In some the skull does not close properly and this can cause problems. The breed also can suffer hypoglycaemia or low blood sugar, which is dangerous for the young puppy.

Living conditions: The Chihuahua is a good dog for apartment life. This dog loves warm weather and dislikes the cold. Just to note this is only a small dog physically, and while it is small it will still need space, even if in an apartment.

American Water Spaniel Dog Breed Facs And Info

The American Water Spaniel is small in size and can be raised in an apartment as long as he has the opportunity for plenty of exercise. Better quarters for this dog would include a properly fenced in exercise area. This is a hunting dog but she will adapt to apartment or home life. She is generally good with children and other pets. She sheds little but does have a hunting dog odor. She trains easily and would make a good watch dog. She can tend to have separation anxiety if left alone for long periods of time and can get noisy.

General Appearance

The American Water Spaniel is medium size, muscular, and has a curly continuous wave or marcel effect coat. The coat color is often chocolate, solid liver, and/or brown with a bit of white possible on the chest and toes.

Approximate Adult Size

The American Water Spaniel stands approximately 15 to 18 inches at the withers (the highest point of the shoulder) and males can weigh 30 to 45 pounds and females from 25 to 40 pounds.

Special Health Considerations for this breed can include cancer, diabetes, cataracts, skin problems, epilepsy, follicular dystrophy and hip dysplasia (genetic based looseness in the hip joint that can lead to arthritis pain and lameness). The insides of her ears may not dry properly when wet so you may need to manually dry them to help prevent ear infections.

Grooming

This breed can have an odor due to the amount of water shedding oil in her coat. She should be brushed several times a week and bathed infrequently because it will strip the protective oils from her coat. She is a very light shedder. Her teeth should be brushed at least twice a week with toothpaste and a toothbrush designed for dogs. Brushing removes the accumulation of plaque and tartar which can cause cavities (rarely) and periodontal disease. Dog periodontal disease can lead to pain, loss of teeth, bad breath and other serious disease. Also check her nails. To avoid health problems, her toenails also need to be clipped. The toenails of the rear feet grow slower than the toenails of the front feet. Generally a guillotine type trimmers is the best for this chore and competent instructions to do this can be found on the net.

What to Check for When Buying Fur Coats

With the winter months looming just around the corner, it's time to start thinking about buying fur coats. Whether you're buying fur coats for the first time or are simply updating your wardrobe, it's important to check the quality of the fur and the construction of the fur jacket before you make your purchase.

Inspect the Fur
It's always important to check the quality of the fur when buying fur coats. Since fur apparel can be made from the pelts of a variety of animals (mink or fox, for example), and pelts of the same type can vary greatly in quality, make sure that all the pelts on the coat match in color, hair length, luster, and consistency.

One of the best techniques when buying fur coats is to do a side-by-side comparison. Look at coats of the same fur type, in different price ranges. Ask your sales person why they are priced differently. Ask yourself why one looks better than the other, and then ask the sales person why these characteristics differ. Also, always run your hand through the fur itself and look closely at the hairs. You should see and feel the soft layer of under-fur beneath the outer guard fur. When it comes to mink fur the higher qualities usually have a denser, more consistent under-fur and a shorter guard hair length, giving a more velvety, rather than hairy, look.

Check the Construction
Checking of the construction of the coat you wish to purchase is another important aspect to consider when buying fur coats. You want to be sure that the coat is well made. To do this, examine the seams. They should be straight, not jagged or rough. There should be a nice, even transition at the seams where two pelts are joined. Also, look for seams (or "cuts") through the middle of a pelt; if they are prominent you may want to choose a different coat.

In addition, depending on the fur type you may be able to see a natural striping down the center of the pelts. From pelt to pelt, these should be consistent in both color and width. If they are not, the quality of construction could probably be better. Paying close attention to the coat's construction will help ensure that you purchase a better quality fur garment. Do NOT be afraid to throw a fur coat on the floor of the store and spread it out. This is a very good examination method when purchasing fur coats.

After you've checked the construction of the coat, try it on. If the coat fits properly, it should feel balanced on your shoulders. If the coat feels lopsided or unbalanced, it may need an alteration to fit your body. It should also look like it hangs straight, on your body.

Fur or Faux?
One of the most important things to consider when buying fur coats is whether or not the fur is real or faux (i.e. fake). Faux fur is a petroleum product that is very similar to floor carpet. It is not an eco-friendly product, whereas real fur is one on the greenest products in existence. There are numerous tests you can perform to determine if a coat is made from real animal fur or fake synthetics:

* Feel the fur: Before buying fur coats, roll the fur between your fingers. Real animal fur will feel soft and smooth to the touch, while faux fur will feel bristly and coarse. Faux fur will actually feel very similar to carpet fiber.
* Examine the fur closely: A real fur coat will usually consist of two lengths of hair, the under-fur and the guard hairs, while the hair on faux fur coats tend to be one uniform length.
* Check the leather: When buying fur coats, it is best to try to see if you can examine the backing of the fur. If it is leather, then it is real fur. If it is synthetic, or cloth (similar to a burlap material, it is faux. If you cannot see the backing, then try sticking a pin through the coat. If the pin goes through easily, chances are it's a fake.
* Burn the hair: This is one of the most important tests to perform when buying fur coats. If your fur purveyor allows it, pluck a few hairs from the fur and light the ends with a match or l women's coats ighter. Real animal hair will singe and emit a burning hair smell. Faux fur is usually made from synthetic plastic products that will melt and roll up into tiny balls and will smell like burning plastic.

Ask Questions!
Don't let the task of buying fur coats intimidate you. Feel free to ask your furrier any questions you might have about the quality, authenticity, or construction of their coats.
